Thank you for this write up Tony. I've found reading about the early history of women's wrestling enriching. The different aliases are hard to keep track of. There was a wrestler around 1940 called Juanita Barnett who once beat Clara Mortensen who I have wondered may have been an early alias of Juanita Coffman (or it could be a shared first name)
You are welcome Barry. I only know about Juanita and her stint as a "Gallagher" by reading about it and that's pretty limited. I've always really admired the Gallagher Brothers tag team and would have loved to have seen what Juanita added to the gimmick at the time. If we only had video going back to the beginning. Thank goodness for newspapers being willing to cover wrestling, no matter how much was worked, it's still valuable info. You are right, keeping up with the aliases is a job at times and many times when I'm doing the lists in the newsletter I just pick the name that was the most well known. I had a performer with 8 different gimmick names once. Don Kalt had a few in his time. :)
