This past week we had out first MAILBAG Show for 2026!
For the last couple of weeks, we have been collecting the questions our Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel community members have been wanting to ask, and boy oh boy, did they have some great questions. I invited regular guest co-host Steve Gennerelli to be on the show with me to curate the list of questions and pitch them to me, as well as a question or two that Steve wanted to ask as well!

I wanted to mention that many of you reached out to me this week when it became public that I had undergone a surgery. The info on it is that from 1986 through 2018, while working for two different companies as a CEO and after that, a consultant who traveled a lot by both car and plane, I traveled the equivilent to a wrestler in a large territory going to all the markets where I was acquiring operations and property to grow the companies and then from 2004 through 2018, I added over one million miles on American Airlines as a consultant and advisor, traveling to client locations.
All that travel as well as sleeping in a different hotel bed almost every night took a toll on my back. For the past six months, I have been getting special injections for relief and also for creating a path for the surgeon to use his laser to burn back a bone that was pressing in on a nerve, and that was causing me a lot of pain for the last 10 to 15 years. The surgery was successful and I had a follow up appointment on Friday where the Surgeon examined me and took pictures of my back and he was very pleased with the surgery and healing process. So, I am fine and am in the healing process of taking short walks and doing a lot of stretching. So, I am fine and good to go and I appreciate all of you reaching out, mostly on social media to wish me healing and peace. I am having both. Thank you for making this a wonderful and positive wrestling commnity.

In Memory of Dennis Condrey
I wanted to wrap up this edition of Week-In-Review to mention the terrible loss of our wrestling community of “Loverboy” Dennis Condrey, who passed away at his home in Florence, Alabama this past Friday night, March 20th. Dennis was one of those rare individuals who was a star in the 1970s and it translated for his biggest success into the 1980s. I grew up as a young wrestling fan watching Dennis’ career from the beginning in the Gulas-Welch Nashville, Tennessee Territory through his success in the Mid-South Wrestling group, Jim Crockett Promotions, the AWA and his surprise bloody return in 1988.
I spent much of yesterday (Saturday) remembering and documenting Dennis’ life and career, contacting as many people as I could who knew and worked with him. Yesterday afternoon, I began writing a feature piece in tribute to him and all he meant to me and the wrestling community at large. Many older fans like me are familiar with his amazing tag team with Phil Hickerson in the 1970s and others only know him from Mid-South and WTBS. Dennis was mainly an unsung giant in tag team wrestling and I am very proud of the feature I have written on him and am excited to give tribute to him by publishing it for you tomorrow. As is my usual practice, when I publish a bio\obit piece on a wrestler, I give access to everyone who subscribes.
I am planning to drop it for you at 9am central time tomorrow morning, Monday, March 23rd, 2026. It was a wonderful labor of love for the memory and appreciation of Dennis Condrey. I hope you enjoy it in remembrance of someone I have always greatly appreciated. I am sure there will be a companion podcast episode as soon as I can secure some of the guests I’d like to invite.
