Check out this clip of George in Episode 13, The History of the AWA and 1975 about how Verne Gagne handled telling his trainees about finishes of matches when they first emerged from his training barn in Minnesota:

Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel Presents: The Evolution of Pro Wrestling Series
Introducing a new series for our Paid Subscribers, The Evolution of Pro Wrestling. Today, our paid subs will receive in their email inbox the very first entry into this brand-new series I am super excited about. I have been watching and studying the performance art of pro wrestling since becoming a fan 53 years ago in 1972.
The Evolution of Pro Wrestling is in itself, a very wild ride we will be taking in the Time Tunnel.
As a mixture of sport, athleticism and theater, professional wrestling has survived and evolved as cultural shifts and technology shifts have occurred over time periods.
Its morphed from the stages of traveling carnival and athletic shows to becoming a public shareholder driven company with global influence.
I will be looking at all those shifts in various parts of the world and I'll be starting where I have spent a majority of my research time the last two years, in West Texas.
In a sub-series entitled “History of Pro Wrestling in West Texas”, I'll kick it off with "The West Texas Masked Mystery of 1935" about a match taking place in Amarillo on July 11th, 1935, between two wrestlers both having worked as The Masked Marvel. The West Texas Masked Mystery of 1935 has been solved, and I will tell the whole story coming out today for our paid subs in the Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel's "Evolution of Pro Wrestling Series" exciting debut!
Paid Subscriptions are only $5.00 per month or you can save $10 a year by subscribing annually for $50.00
One Thing I Learned Today About Pro Wrestling History
Roy Hefferman is best remembered as one of The Royal Kangaroos tag team with Al Costello. His first tag team partner prior to Costello was Red Bastien. They won the NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Championships in 1956, just previous to his joining as a Kangaroo.
