The Interns Arrive In Amarillo
50-Year Flashback:
6-5-1975: The Interns defeated Ray Candy & Nick Kozak by CO at The Sports Arena in Amarillo, Texas

They started out as The Masked Medics with Dr Ken Ramey; the gimmick was crafted around this Doctor who had obviously done something nefarious in the medical profession and had been banished to the wrestling business. It was a slightly modified twist on the mad scientist or mad doctor gimmick in old Universal Studios horror films of the 1930s and 1940s. The fact that this doctor cheats and breaks the rules in the professional wrestling matches must mean that he did something really bad to not be able to practice medicine any longer. HIs two medical assistants were equally evil, standing by the assist the evil doctor to accomplish their terrible plans against the pure hearted, good babyfaces. I'll be honest with you, in my pre-teen years, I was terrified by The Medics, which by this time had changed their names to The Interns.
Black Gordman and Great Goliath the lead heel tag team in the West Texas territory are gone, raving run their course for the previous six months, the average amount of time for an act to stay in a territory. Six months per territory, two territories per year and even over a ten-year run, you wouldn’t even get close to working in every booking office, especially if you also worked in foreign offices, like Japan, as well. Gordman and Goliath are on their way back to the closest thing to being called "their home territory" in Los Angeles. Jim Starr and Tom Andrews are here under white, sterilized hoods working their "heat gimmick" a chloroform-laced cloth of some kind which they will administer to one of the babyface team immediately after a cheating maneuver of some kind. The fans think the evil; heel tag team are about to punish the babyfaces with the cloth and the crowd goes wild. As per formula, the brand-new bad guys are in for their debut in Amarillo, going over the two mid-card babyfaces to show a valiant effort by the heroes and a thieving, cheating win for the new heels.
One Thing I Learned Today About Pro Wrestling History:
Brothers Dr Bill Miller and Danny Miller were born on the same day of different years giving them the same birthday. Bill in 1927 and Danny in 1932. I just learned that doing today's birthday list for the Tunnel
