Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel History Show Episode 73
Hey everyone, Tony Richards here!
Episode 73 of The Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel History Show is loaded with three big segments and drops this morning at 5am Central / 6am Eastern.
Segment 1:
I welcome back World Class Championship Wrestling historian and expert Lance Peterson. Lance shares his thoughts on the recent Curse of the Von Erichs documentary — honest analysis, historical context, and insight you won’t hear anywhere else.
Segment 2:
We continue The Life and Career of Dory Funk Sr. as 1966 kicks off. The first card of the new year takes us to Albuquerque, New Mexico. I dig into the history of pro wrestling in Albuquerque, local town promoter Mike London, the TV show of the era, and profiles on Iron Mike DiBiase and Sailor Art Thomas. Plus, a complete look at every card from January 1966 in Albuquerque.
Segment 3:
Steve Gennerelli is back with a brand-new mailbag. He’s been collecting your questions, and I’m ready for him to fire them my way. Territory history, booking, wrestlers, “what ifs” — nothing is off limits.

Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel Facebook Group
I have changed the format in the Facebook group a little as of late. We recently hit 3,000 members in the group, so my focus has changed from quantity to quality. My thought before was to try to offer as many posts and photos as possible each day. Now, my focus has changed more toward being in alignment with the mission of the Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel which is pro wrestling history education and preservation.
Now, where there might be 10 posts a day with plain photos, now we are averaging 4 photos a day with deep historical content to go with the photo to help education and honor the wrestlers across teh decades in the business. I have also removed the number oif birthdays for wrestlers still alive on the daily graphic. It was just too much work to try to make sure the graphic was correct and our members were focused more on correcting the graphic than appreciating and celebrating the wrestlers still alive, so Ive dropped the age of the wrestlers going forward. So, instead of the graphic saying Scott Steiner (64), it will simply say Scott Steiner with no age. I just dont have time to correct the graphic each day if for some reason its not correct. The ages will stay on teh daily newsletter.
I hope all our members enjoy the more detailed history included with the photo posts.
