50-Year Flashback 5-28-1975: Jim Dillon defeated Tiger Conway Jr to win the NWA Florida Television Heavyweight Championship at the Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida
We covered the earlier title change to Conway which Harley Race booked to take place the Bayfront Arena in St Petersburg for the Tampa Office's biggest show of the month. As far as weekly towns, Miami was the A-Show of the A-Shows, especially the last show of the month leading into the new month of June as Summer takes full effect in the Sunshine State.
We will see James Dillon with the Television Title in Florida for the forward days of June and July that are rapidly approaching.
One Thing I Learned Today About Pro Wrestling History:
Ed "Strangler" Lewis met Billy Sandow in Lexington, Kentucky in February of 1914.
