A simple note of appreciation:
I sincerely hope you are enjoying and taking time to relax this Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. It's a holiday originally designed to be thankful and honor all those who have served in our military branches of service to protect and defend this great nation of ours, the United States of America. Please make sure you do that. The men and women of our military have no control over what they are asked to do or where they are asked to go. They go and do what is asked of them by our nation's governing authorities. No matter what your opinion or view might be of our nation's involvement in the world's affairs in the past, present or future, the service men and woman have no control over that. That in mind, please respect, honor and have gratitude for all they have done and continue to do for us as Americans.
That being said, I want to express my gratitude to you for your support of my platform here at Substack. The Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel was launched in April of this year with the concept of preserving pro wrestling history in one central location in a multi-media approach with my writings and productions. Utilizing a newsletter, audio and video podcasts and a vault which will contain my previous writings and some new ones. My plans are to continue to build this platform for the remainder of my life. We are quickly approaching our first milestone in this journey, our first 50 subscribers. If you are reading this, you are one of them. So, to you, I extend my heartfelt thanks for your interest in my work and your continued belief in what we are doing here at the Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel.
Our next objective is 100 subscribers by September 30, 2025. Your unwavering support demonstrated through re-stacks and shares along with recommendations for my work, not onlyon Substack but through social media channels and even simply forwarding the newsletter emails will help us achieve that next goal. I have long since achieved the stability in life and financial success I will need for the rest of my life, so I'm not doing this for the money. At the same time, there are many expenses associated with the depth of research and travel necessary to produce the work and so I am very grateful to those who choose to support me through a paid subscription, or to share and recommend my work to those who may choose to support it financially.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend and I hope you read, listen or watch something about great professional wrestling this weekend.
Best regards,
Tony Richards

One Thing I Learned Today About Pro Wrestling History:
Don Jardine, later The Super Destroyer & The Spoiler was one of the leading heels of the 1960s through the 1980s. He teamed with Dutch Savage to form an amazing tag team that held the NWA Canadian Tag Team Championship in the early Fall of 1966.
