The “On This Date” Cards Analysis Feature is a way for our readers to look back through the Pro Wrestling Time Tunnel to see the way cards were constructed, the finishes, the number of cards that were presented and some idea of how many wrestlers were working in North America during the time period. In December of 1945, World War II had come to an end in August, and troops were beginning to be discharged from the various military corps to provide more workers in the business. Professional wrestling had experienced a definite down period from 1941 through 1945. As we go into next year, it will be interesting to look at the way cards would change in 1946. Next week, we will look at the cards OTD in pro wrestling history in 1955.
