One Thing I Learned Today About Pro Wrestling History
Ron Wright, the legendary “King of Kingsport” heel from East Tennessee wrestling territories, was so despised by fans in the 1960s and 1970s that one outraged spectator once pulled a gun and tried to shoot him during a match at a small-town community center—sparking total chaos as wrestlers and crowds brawled in the stands.
