One Thing I Learned Today About Pro Wrestling History
Lola LaRay was a female professional wrestler in the mid-1950s to the mid 1960s. She worked for and at one time was married to women's wrestling promoter and booker, Billy Wolfe. She was broken into the business by Cowboy Luttrall, who trained her for the ring. She briefly retired from wrestling when she was diagnosed with cancer. It took her a year to recover, but afterward she returned to ring performances. After she eventually retired from the sport, she worked for Schottenstein's Enterprises, where she worked in the accounting department and later as a distributions supervisor.
